About Me
I live in Pennsylvania withy my wife and two children. I am an IT consultant for a large global consulting firm. I've only traced my line of McMullin back to around 1847 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where my great great grandfather, Alexander (Mc) Mullin was born according to his marriage record in Philadelphia. Family lore states that our Mullin family were McMullin at one time and came from Ireland. It appears that Alexander was the one who dropped the 'Mc' when he joined the Union army at the age of 14 as there are records of him in his regiment as both McMullin and Mullin. Looking forward to the day when I discover when my family came to America from Ireland and from where. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Historically approx 150,000 Irish Americans fought for the Union in the war. Many formed their own units. Would be interesting to find out the name of the regiment.
